HK Prize is an innovative competition that invites participants to submit ideas for creating an Official Development Assistance (ODA) program in Hong Kong to support its efforts towards sustainable development and international cooperation. Furthermore, this prize seeks to encourage the development of local entrepreneurs who can shape Hong Kong’s role on the world stage and contribute to economic development within its borders.

Hong Kong Tourism Board is hosting an online lucky draw with prizes worth HK$4 million to raise public awareness about these amazing awards and their benefits, open to both residents and tourists alike. Prizes include round-trip airfare on Cathay Pacific as well as supermarket vouchers – you could even win a luxury hotel stay!

To ensure the fairness of the draw, several measures have been put in place. Employees from HKJC’s security and customer service departments will strictly inspect all materials used for the draw including boxing, packaging and transport materials; balls will also be weighed daily before being examined with X-rays; additionally, the drawing machine will be retested after each draw.

This prize, sponsored by the BOCHK Science and Technology Innovation Fund and co-organized by Hong Kong Alliance of Technology and Innovation, honors outstanding research accomplishments across five fields: artificial intelligence/robotics/life/science; new materials and energy; advanced manufacturing/fintech. Winners in each field will be chosen based on both scientific achievement as well as efforts in applying or translating research findings for society benefit.

At an awards ceremony, winners of these prestigious accolades will receive certificates, trophies and HK$2,000,000 cash awards as gifts from government representatives and sponsoring enterprises; representatives from media will also attend. Celebrities may also attend.

The winning entries will be showcased in an exhibition at the Museum of History from September 27 – October 8. Visitors can learn more about each prize and its significance by engaging with interactive exhibits and videos related to winning projects, alongside works that took home top honors.
